This Privacy Policy explains how Wittykeys by Sentient (referred to as “Wittykeys,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, discloses, processes, shares, and protects personal information provided by users (“User,” “you,” “your”) or collected when you use Wittykeys Keyboard products and services. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using Wittykeys products and services, it will only be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy and/or our terms and conditions.

Wittykeys is committed to ensuring your privacy and the integrity of your data, supplementing legal requirements with additional good-practice measures.

Wittykeys takes your privacy concerns very seriously and encourages you to exercise caution with the information you share. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected through other means (including offline) or from other sources. The use of information collected through the Wittykeys Keyboard or other Wittykeys products and services is limited to the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.

 Use of Accessibility Services and Foreground Services

WittyKeys utilizes certain system-level services provided by the Android operating system to deliver its core features, including smart suggestions, contextual actions, and personalized assistance. These services include:

1.  Accessibility Service API

WittyKeys makes use of the Android Accessibility Service API with the express consent of the user to enhance usability and assist users in generating AI-based suggestions based on on-screen content.

• This service enables the app to access the text content of other apps displayed on the screen, only to the extent required to perform the requested functionality.
• Accessibility data is used exclusively to identify message context and assist the user in generating or suggesting relevant content.
• WittyKeys does not collect, store, log, or transmit any Accessibility data or content accessed through the service.
• The service is only activated after user consent, and users may disable it at any time via system settings.
   

Use of the Accessibility Service is in strict compliance with Google Play Developer Policies and Android system permissions.

2. Foreground Service and Screen Capture

WittyKeys also employs a foreground service to temporarily capture screen content (e.g., through screenshots) solely for the purpose of enabling AI-driven features such as smart replies or contextual actions.

• This functionality is activated only when explicitly enabled by the user.
• Screen content is processed locally on the user’s device.
• WittyKeys does not retain, store, or transmit any screenshots or the information contained therein.
• All captured screen data is discarded immediately after the relevant action is performed.
• The app clearly notifies users when the foreground service is active, in compliance with Android requirements.
   

WittyKeys is committed to protecting your privacy. We do not collect or transmit any personal data or screen content to our servers for the above services. All processing is performed securely on the user's device, and the user maintains full control over enabling or disabling these features at any time.

We collect information for lawful purposes connected with the Wittykeys Keyboard. The collection of such data is essential for delivering the best version of our technologies and services.
